Question:

Will A Ceramic Coating Protect My Vehicle From Rock Chips?

Answer:

Ceramic coatings are a Silica based product that adds protection and enhances the gloss. A ceramic coating is not intended to protect against high impact damage like rock chips but services more as a protectant against environmental elements. For protection against rocks, we highly recommend having us install Xpel Ultimate Plus Paint Protection Film. The glass windshield on your vehicle will still get rock chips, just much less often than your clearcoat. For this type of protection, we recommend having us apply Clearplex windshield protection.
